ABOUT Dawn Patrol Chaters :
Winner of many back bay and inshore gulf tournaments, Capt. John Tenore has been a licensed Florida captain for over 20 years now. Fishing the local waterways since the early 80’s, JT is now using his unique experience and expertise to make sure his guests are provided with a day they won’t soon forget, while consistently managing to reel in banner catches.
Whether you’re fishing the bay for Speckled Trout, Redfish, Flounder, Sheepshead and Pompano, or patrolling the prolific waters of the Gulf for the likes of Red Snapper, Grouper, Amberjack, Kingfish, Cobia and Tarpon, JT does it all. All ages are welcome aboard his 22’ Cape Horn propelled by a single 250HP 4-stroke Yamaha engine, with a maximum passenger capacity of 6 anglers per trip. The boat features a dual helm as well as a Cobia tower, a key feature of any successful sight fishing trip for Cobia and Tarpon schools congregating along the beach, or Bull Reds and Sea Trout on the productive flats of the world’s luckiest fishing village.
The boat is outfitted with an assortment of navigational utilities including GPS, VHF radio, sonar and fishfinder. On his fishing excursions, John utilizes a variety of spinning rods and reels, mainly by Penn International. JP’s 30-gallon livewell is usually stocked with all kinds of bait depending on the fish you wish to target, including cigar minnows, herrings, redfins and speedos. As they have proven themselves highly productive, croakers and shrimp will also often be used while fishing the bay.
